History
The group was active between 1964 and 1969 but never released any records during its existence; however former members went on to form two other groups that became central to the Canterbury scene: Soft Machine and Caravan. These bands spawned a vast number of Canterbury-related or Canterbury-sounding bands.
A compact disc of previously unreleased archival demo recordings (1965-1969) by the Wilde Flowers was issued in 1994, available from Voiceprint Records (Blueprint BP123CD).
